About Mr Mover Atlanta

I’m Cedric Boyd, but everybody calls me Ced. I grew up in Southwest Atlanta, the East Point and College Park side, and I have watched this city change my whole life. The skyline filled in, the BeltLine turned old rail lines into a place people actually walk, and the traffic on I-285 got worse every single year. Through all of it, people kept moving, and somebody had to carry the boxes.

That somebody was me for most of my twenties. I worked on other companies’ crews all over the metro, and I learned the trade by doing it the hard way, on bad days, with gear that fell apart and bosses who quoted one price and charged another. I told myself that if I ever ran my own trucks, I would do it the careful way those crews never bothered with. In 2013 I bought one truck, hired two guys I trusted, and started Mr Mover Atlanta.

The crew is the company. DeShawn runs our tight Buckhead and Midtown tower jobs with the elevator timing down to the minute. Tony handles the long hauls and full-pack work. Hector leads the apartment and walk-up moves and speaks Spanish on site. Tasha books every date and keeps each quote in writing, and Jamal walks the home or does a video survey before he writes a binding number. None of them is a contractor. They are our people, on payroll, in our shirts.

Here is the part that matters most: we own our trucks and we do not subcontract. When you book Mr Mover Atlanta, the crew that quotes your job is the crew that shows up, loads it, and drives it. We work all over the metro, from a walk-up near Piedmont Park to a house out past the Perimeter, and we still know every shortcut around a Mercedes-Benz Stadium event day. This is my hometown. I am not going to put my name on a sloppy job in it.
